It's Time for THE Big Game, My Closing Argument on This Annoying Chiefs Topic, My Super Bowl Predictions, & Just a Little Bit More of the Random Stuff That Chiefs Chronicles is Famous For!!!
If the Chief’s win the battle in the trenches and contain Barkley from breaking big runs, then this Super Bowl will be dominated by K.C. However, if Philly’s O’line opens up holes for Saquon and he finds his rhythm today, it may be smooth flying for the Eagles to a championship.
Hmmm…Gary, you brought up a key point of motivation for the Chiefs…the refs favoring them in big games. The Chiefs want to prove that they have won due to being a disciplined and poised team that doesn’t buckle under pressure, and they will prove that today. They will come in to this game extremely focused.
That score sounds pretty good! Let’s hope it all goes that well.
Thank you for the coffee! You are officially the first contributor who’s used that. It’s a cool way for people to support me, since Chiefs Chronicles subscriptions are basically free. Thanks again!
I’m going 31-20 Chiefs. I just don’t understand why everyone says the Eagles are so much better 2-53 as a team. I actually think they are a worse team than KC (not saying they’re bad, just not as good). Maybe I’m delusional, but I’m sticking with it!
I’m a much more nervous fan than you, I think. There’s so much damage and scar tissue on me from my early years as a fan (and my life in general) that I think I’d be dealing with anxiety if they were playing a CFL team today.
That score also looks good! I’ll take any score that has them winning!
I’d have to be on good painkillers or in a coma to avoid the game-time nervousness.
Any Colts/Chiefs playoff game was the absolute worst! The Lin Elliot Game. The No Punt Game. The Andrew Luck Game. They are all Chiefs playoff losses and they are all named games- that’s how you know they were all just awful.
Thanks, Henny. It’s refreshing talking to someone from a different fanbase (no offense, but especially a Philly fan) who is a normal, thoughtful human being.
I can’t say that I want you to have a good time watching the game today as a fan (unless it’s really close and you’re loving all but the very end), but I do hope you get to eat some good food (with a beverage of your choice), hang out with some family and/or friends (or by yourself if you’re a head-case like me), and see some commercials you like.
There is an invite on the table to watch the game with a smallish group of my close friends, but they know how I am and they’re fine if I don’t show up.
Very cool. Next time the Chiefs play in Green Bay you should go. Lambeau is amazing, the town is super cool, and the people are really nice. You can definitely wear your Chiefs gear and not have a problem.
Yeah, I figured that would be the case. I’m very careful when I go to games. I live about six hours by car from Oakland and never once went to see the Chiefs play them. I’m pretty sure I’m allergic to being stabbed.
I’ve been to Arrowhead twice (in 2017 & 2021- both amazing experiences) and also saw the Chiefs play the Seahawks in Seattle, the last two seasons they were in the AFC West.
The Seahawks fans were super cool the first time- we had face paint on and they all wanted pictures with us. We met Lenny Dawson (I could tell he thought we were idiots) and had a great time watching the Chiefs beat the home team.
We went to the game the following year, too. It ended up getting rescheduled to the last game of the season because of 9/11. That’s an interesting story. Maybe I’ll write that up during the offseason- I’m like 82% certain I haven’t written about that yet.
I’ll have to include details about the first trip up there too, for some contrast/comic relief.
You’re the only one I know and you seem like a cool guy. I’ll believe that’s the norm until I personally experience the stereotypical “Philly Fan” that I hear so much about.

Chiefs 34-17 over the Eagles.

This is the first game I haven’t been nervous for as a Chiefs fan which is starting to make me nervous 😂. The Colts/Luck game still gives me panic.

Haters gonna hate. Chiefs are great and definitely a dynasty. I won’t be rooting for them but don’t love our chances. Good luck & Go Birds! 😉

Just don’t wear a Chiefs jersey to a game in Philly and you’ll be good 😉

Philly fans get a bad wrap. Well earned however 😬 🤣

Ha. Ditto to you Gary!!
