First and foremost, I love you buddy!

Merry Christmas to you my friend. My apologies that yours didn't seem as festive, but if it's any consolation at all, how about them Chiefs?

Ever since the Chargers game that neither team deserved to win, things have gotten so much better. You're in a better position than I am to say what has changed, but something is clearly different, because the offence in the last two weeks has actually worked, and against opponents that ought not to be taken lightly on the defensive side.

This increased level of offensive performance has led to only the third and fourth multi-possession wins of the year in KC, and it couldn't have come at a better time for a team that desperately needed them. Just a few weeks ago, I wouldn't have bet on this team to beat Pittsburgh, especially on the road, but (partly due to the freefall happening in Pittsburgh) when the day came, I did bet on them to beat the Steelers, and they rewarded me for it.

It's a shame that the Chiefs are likely not going to actually play the week 18 game in Denver, because I'd love to see what this much improved version of the team could do against the league leading defence that pretty much had their number last time. Would it be different or would it be the same? It's an interesting question. Unfortunately, it's one we're not going to get the answer to.

Regardless, this has been an important three weeks. In my mind, it's three of the more important weeks of the last three years, because this was looking for most of the season like a team that was going to be DOA when the playoffs came, and I'm not sure they look like that anymore.

Give me some insight my friend. What's changed in the last three weeks to where this team that couldn't convincingly beat anybody is all of a sudden getting the multi-possession wins?
